Enrollment Projections
In 2007, 78% of the City's school age children attended public school. The school administration projects slight decreases in the student population, with some increase in the elementary school grades. However, school enrollment projections can change due to altered conditions in the City’s economy, new housing developments, house hold size, and population migration. As the Asheton and Huntington Pointe communities are developed tow new elementary schools may be needed. Two elementary school sites should be reserved adjacent to these two developments to avoid future overcrowding.
