Aesthetics

District II would benefit from a city-wide focus on aesthetics.  Currently, other than the Historic District located in Hilton, there are no regulations that govern aesthetics relating to development.  New development, like that included in City Center, continues to develop governed by a Development Agreement between the private developers and the Economic Development Authority (EDA) which regulate building design and layout.  However, elsewhere in the district, there are no such regulations or oversight.  Good, quality design and proper site layouts must be pursued as redevelopment opportunities present themselves in District II.  To ensure this occurs, the City must have city-wide basic standards of quality and design.
